General Services Department

INTRODUCTION

The General Services Department is one of the Services Departments in the Federal Ministry of Sports Development. The Department is responsible for policy formulation and implementation aimed at ensuring the provision of safe office environment and maintenance of office infrastructure. The Department is structured into two (2) Divisions:

  • Maintenance Division
  • General Services Division

VISION STATEMENT: A fully secure and conducsive office environment setting to enable the staff of the Ministry to deliver service effectively and efficiently.

MISSION STATEMENT: To inculcate the attitude of rendering quality service through the provision of safe and secure office environment to conduct government business.

MAINTENANCE DIVISION

  • Facility Management
  • Plant and Equipment Management

STORE UNIT

  • Receipt of supplies as specified in contracts awarded
  • Managing of work materials supplied and making them available to staff on request.
  • Ensure due and proper documentation of transactions for both in-coming and out-going materials
  • Ensure the safety and security of materials in the store
  • Make store documents available on demand to statutory inspectors both internal and external
